Hi, I’m Kate Saba — Sr. Packaging Designer by day, music addict, artist photographer & video producer by night. I’m based in New York, where I get to collaborate with brilliant humans and create work that’s both conceptually sharp and easy on the eyes.

I’ve designed for brands you definitely know — Kodak, Ellen DeGeneres, Halle Berry, Reebok, Lucky, U.S. Polo Assn. — and currently wrangle an impressive roster of consumer-goods licenses like Arm & Hammer, Kingsford, GLAD, Burt’s Bees, Disney - Winnie the Pooh, Honeywell… and honestly, that’s just the highlight reel.

My packaging designs for GLAD Pets were recently picked up by Walmart for a 2024 launch (yes, I did a happy dance), and my work made a splash at the Global Trade Show 2024, where I took part as well, with brands like GLAD Pets, Arm & Hammer Pet, Dole Pets Treats, and Honeywell Smart Home line. I even helped design the Honeywell Smart Pets Home App partnering up with our overseas Tuya app developers — because why not add app design to the mix?

When I’m not designing packaging that behaves better than most people’s pets, I’m deep in music projects — something I’ve loved since growing up with a musician dad. I sing and play ukulele. I write songs. I volunteer at jazz and cultural festivals, create visuals for artists. My most recent work is “Healer” album release for Bobby Rozario & Origin Records (Spotify, Youtube, AppleMusic and more!), I designed a CD Cover & Packaging Design. Since working with record labels is pretty tricky, I used all my skills in vinyl production that is about to also be printed and produced. The packaging involved: album moodboard, strategy, painting and drawing (yes, i still use pen and paper!), artist photography, visual packaging composition and production, communication with printer’s shop to get the sign offs. Lastly, couple of videos and animated short films which I absolutely love (not Ai, all art is original to the bone).
